Definitely not busy enough for a 2nd person in my department, I’m doing my job 100% not missing a single thing. I do dispatching I don’t leave anything behind. All my boss does is complain about expenses and the job posting has the pay way lower then what I make. I’m just confused here. I think I’m being replaced for cheaper labor. Also I feel like it’s kind of disrespectful to post it out there in public and not say anything to me
So last week I dropped off my keys and told my boss that I was quitting, right then and there. no notice. a week later he replies, litterally today with this: Good morning Usefulwoodpecker, Sorry that we couldn’t make things work for you here at the Sheppard Centre Apartment. I want to tell you that we were very happy with your overall performance as building manager and I thank you for all your efforts. Its to bad you never came to me to discuss any issues or difficulties you were having. We were in the process of removing Mike as building manager due to the lack of performance on his part and the difficulty he was having working with others, don’t know if that was adding to the negative work place for you. Good luck in your future ventures, to which I replied with: I'll be honest with you the…
Anyone else experience this? The big huddle between colleagues in the smoking area or some shit where they let off steam regarding some dumb decision that the management has made which means more admin for the 'peasantry' in the office. Its just one big convo regarding how much they hate a certain manager. This shit is so annoying in work because the assholes always look for my input. Pretending they are mates who are down with me. Supportive and all that. “What do you think?” That shit is a trap. I've learned the hard way. The minute someone has the tiniest grievance they are looking to use what you said against you. These people in the office are the worst.

I work for a major bank. I won’t say which, but it’s one of the largest out there. They’ve reduced staffing to skeleton crew levels and made it so that no one can take PTO if a coworker has PTO. I don’t know if this is the right place to post this, but I need to say it and it needs to be heard. One of our cats was 17. His name was a Toby. He said was a sneezy, lovable orange thing. He loved the steam from a warm shower, boxes smaller than he was, and reaching out with his paw to tap your arm and remind you to pet him. He was 17 and had a bowel obstruction. Surgery would’ve likely killed him. We made the choice to have him euthanized as we didn’t have the money for surgery nor the confidence that he’d survive the surgery. I…
I used to work at an ad-tech company (advertising tech) in adops (advertising operations). We're the ones responsible for many of the ads you see on the web and mobile, sorry. At the beginning of the year, my company forced us to start doing 5 days back in the office. While I'm close to the office, many people on my team are not. Despite productivity being better during WFH, the senior managers think we'd be more productive in the office. I immediately started documenting how many tickets/projects my team (10 people) was completing during WFH and what we complete after being back in the office. This includes how often we meet deadlines/project milestones. The numbers are very telling. Here's a basic version: Pre-covid Average tickets completed per day: 45.2 Project deadlines met: 85% Q2 2020 – Q3 2020 Average tickets completed per day: 52.3 Project deadlines met: 96% Q4 2020…
