Thoughts? I usually like Axios, but I’d like to see a breakdown of to whom those $5t went to. To be transparent, I am a millennial who squeaked into my first house in 2016, and that has definitely let me ride the current wave from selling it to purchasing my second house in 2020. Military, so hardly ‘rolling in cash’ but I’d be lying if I said I was in any kind of truly desperate straights.

https://god.dailydot.com/asked-tip-takeout-order/ It’s nice to see a news outlet arguing against CEOs and companies underpaying their workers

My boss keeps ghosting me?
Im not sure if this is the right group to post in, im reposting from relaruonship advise but didnt get much in the way of advise etc. So im posting here. Im sorry if i break any rules. Ok, some context. I have a job. A fantastic job that I enjoy a great deal. My position is actually 3 positions rolled into one. 1 of those positions is quite a difficult one. It's a big learning curve as it's much more than just your average retail gig. It takes study and an actual decent chunk of learning time to get the hang of it. The last person who was in this position left suddenly and prepared absolutely nothing for the person who takes over the position : me. When my boss asked me to take on this position, I flew into it with high enthusiasm. I was doing okay, but…
The Illusion of Productivity
TL:DR; I want to complain about the overuse of blocking websites on company wifi due to the illusion that we are being “productive” at all times. I (27F) work a job that gives me a lot of downtime and alone time. Generally, processing samples doesn't take a lot of time or brain power, and when we don't have samples to process or paperwork to complete, it's kind of a waiting game on a twelve hour shift. Thus, like most people my age, I tend to do things on the internet to pass the time. Now, I work in the dead center of the building, so I don't get cellular data, and have to use the wifi they offer at work. And it. Blocks. EVERYTHING. For a while, there were a handful of websites you could still access (YouTube, Amazon, even Fantasy name generator b/c I write when I have free…
So for context I have a spinal cord injury, as a result I also experience one of the most common symptoms of an SCI; an overactive bladder. That means at any given moment I may need to relieve my bladder from anywhere between 20minutes to about 2 hours. (Not super important but holding my bladder also makes me get very nauseous and eventually makes me unable to release my bladder without a catheter) I work 10 hour shifts from home with 3, 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch. If I need to use the bathroom I log out of my work system, go use the bathroom, and come back and resume my job by logging back in. The whole thing is a 3-5 minute process. All morning I'll go and use the bathroom and my supervisor doesn't say a word to me about it but after he logs…
im new to the workforce lol
I dont know what to do.
I work a shitty minimum wage job that I really just hate. I have been trying to look for other jobs but I feel now in my 30s without any good qualifications im kind of fucked. I just don't know what to do anymore. I don't know what other line of work will suit me. I dont have good qualifications or experience. The generic jobs I do look up often have a lot of requirements that just seem really intimidating.
