I’m 19 and am a barista at starbucks. I hate it, my store is fucking busy and I don’t get along with anyone on my shifts, not that we bicker or anything, but they are all friends and I am just kinda there. I can’t focus on school or any of my hobbies and I’ve been having more intense panic attacks especially surrounding work. I just want to support myself through school but I’m scared if I quit I won’t be able to. I just dont know what to do, but this fucking sucks

I can’t tell you how mad it made me last night when i saw a younger hostess on the verge of tears because Retirement Randy and Disability check Darlene had the entitlement to ruin someone’s day because they don’t know how to be cordial to a young lady whos breaking her back over that job. They gave her a hard time because they wanted a booth, but they had to wait 20 minutes. OR they could have just ate at a table and got served right then and there. They had a fit about it and they ended up seating them at a booth. The sad part is i still see the two geriatrics sitting down and enjoying their meal knowing they don’t deserve shit. One candidate said in the chat that she was not made aware that this was a group interview. I went back and looked at my emails and none of them mentioned it at all; in fact, they made it sound as though it was going to be a team from the company interviewing one person. Other people said in chat that they had taken off work for this interview and that their time had been disrespected, and that it should have been disclosed that this was a group interview. The owner of the company said (what he had said earlier) that this must have been a mistake by the recruiting team. I said that it was interesting that this mistake had been repeated almost thirty times, and that I was no longer interested in the position. Work at a really casual bar, OFF DUTY! sitting at bar supervisor was needlessly a dick all night when manager wasnt even there, refusing to let me sit down when there were no customers there which i am usually allowed to do even though there was another supervisor in charge, (made a point of putting the chair back), turned up the screamo music and refused to turn it down (I'm deaf and couldn't hear the customers after this) and if I tried to turn it down and he realised it was slightly quieter, he had a go at me. Loads of customers especially elderly complained about the screamo (his music) which he had been taking money out of the tills to play. It's a jukebox and when other customers played their music he skipped theirs back to his music he put on (even though they paid for it WTF) he…

So in 2018 I stumbled into a job i wanted more than any other job, I actually remember see the sign outside the office and thinking “When I'm older I want to work there!” I heard about someone getting a job there and he was able to get me in and I was so damn happy, I was then working in IT for 2 hospitals and we didn't have to be the mindless drone giving the person on the other end what ever they wanted, We could say “No” and “You're wrong” it was amazing, after a couple years I was top call taker on the team, could do any fix without issue and was on the perfect shift but then we where told we had lost the hospital account and had to move offices and little did i know it was the beginning of the end, Whilst waiting for…
