Test. I posted two pics in the past five minutes. Neither are showing up. Only text posts? Image posts are getting filtered out. What’s going on with the moderation of this subreddit?

What do i do? I feel like i’m obligated to go into work and my eye is red and leaking fluids. They are already on me about 11 different instances in the past 3 months of where i called off, came in late, or had to leave early. i’m just so scared, i work as a receptionist and this feels so embarrassing to go in. Im scared to call out because i’m on thin ice, i’m a single mom to a toddler – i just don’t want to lose my job.

Our current society is forged in a way that it benefits the rich and powerful, they basically nourish themselves from our suffering while giving us the deception of freedom. So, I've been working in an overly ambitious startup for a year and a half. Everything was a mess when I joined the team but as a project manager, eventually I managed to set things somewhat straight. After the silent launch, top management started to waste the money invested into the startup without any income. Extra employees, office expansion, sales campaigns, etc. At one point, when investors realized that nothing is really improving, and there are no actual increments(because e-commerce startup with 1 developer is a joke) in the product, they left. So, as a “cost optimization” a lot of employees that were not really needed from the very beginning got fired. We had to switch to remote work. Team reduced to around 5 people (There were around 20 people at the peak). Somewhere around April or May, salaries started to come in late but it was not that critical.…

It’s like an energy shot every time I see him that barely gets me through my job

So I was fired from my old job 1 year ago. My boss purchased the business from a nice couple who had started it 20 years prior and had hired me to manage production. I had a contract with the orginal owners, new owner denied I ever had an employment contract- and said if I did have a contract the previous owners lied about everything offered because they were selling the business and knew they wouldn't need to honor it. Did great things for the business and made the new owner over $500k going above and beyond my responsibilities in production helping woth distribution and sales. Fast forward to Covid- we were shut down to in person customers like everyone in Minnesota was, money wasn't coming in for our wedding venue, but booze sales were better than ever so we were doing OK. State of Minnesota was giving pretty good…

I see many people regarding their day off or taking it explaining what they will do on their free time, nature of their sickness etc or answering phones during time off. Remember: 1) its none of employer business what you do on vacation. Submit it, tell them its none of their business where you will be and enjoy free time. Turn off work phone or dont accept work related phones and emails. 2) employee have no right to ask you about the nature of your sickness. Its only your courtesy to tell them. If they try to guilt trip you into coming then fugg them. Send them doctors not and refuse to discuss the topic further no many insults and threats get thrown your way 3) NEVER answer work related numbers on your time off. If they want to have access to you after work, they should make you “on-call”…
