My husbands company moved his office…again

Today was yet another reminder that corporations just see employees as a number. I work from home but my husband is required to go into the office 3x a week. So we moved to a new place down the street from his office so that his commute wouldn't be hectic (Maybe he could bike to work for exercise during the summer?). Two months after we move in, they change the office he needs to go into, for one 30 min further. Then tell us today that they're moving him again to another office 30 min further than that one. It's ridiculous because: His job can be completely done remotely and he's gotten great performance reviews due to the fact that he consistently meets his goals. I think they should trust to him to continue to do his job. His team DOESN'T EVEN WORK IN THE SAME STATE so he's driving…

Boss is petty & a coward

Okay so I’ll just jump right in. The Director of this company is a total jackhole, she has to be a narcissist or something because there is no way she is this unaware of her behavior. I won’t go into all of the details of what has happened, it would take way too long and I don’t think I would even be able to grasp just how screwed up things are. Well, long story short, I work at a medical spa as a front desk person. Everyone and their dog hates the Director. Everyone wants to leave. I’m not even exaggerating, I mean EVERYONE. The part I need to share with you involves a nurse practitioner that has been at this place for nearly 4 years, let’s call her Anna. Anna has finally had enough of the BS from the Director, and put her 2 week notice in via email…

promotion went from £1.2K increase to to £182

Pretty much what it says in the title. Applied to a role within my company with a large pay increase ( to me as an entry level worker anyway), only to find out today the position I left is having wage raised to almost the same as me, but no raise for my position. My responsibilities have doubled, and I’m still performing my old job as well as my new. I signed my contract on the 4th April, this comes into effect from 1st April. What’s the actual point?? I feel so blindsided but I guess I drank the kool aid.

Personality questions?

These are from an application I submitted yesterday. They repeated a couple times. It seems obvious that they want to make sure applicants will not try for a work life balance but is the repetition intended to prove a lie or something? You answer one way then the next time you put a different answer, how do they determine which is how you really feel?

Landscape wages deflated

Apparently our pay is tied to H2B wages which have gone down this year said my boss. How is it that everything is inflating except our pay!?

Job fired me and still owes me $500 a month later

I am located in Florida and have already contacted the DOL, but have yet to receive a response. What is my best course of action here? I am still owed over $500 in PTO hours that should have been paid out to me.

Aren’t you suppose to be paid for every minute once you clock in ? It’s honestly some bullshit

Advice on breaking into govt. work? (25M, DC/Baltimore Area)

Hey, all. I currently work as a data analyst at a govt contractor (have been working for about 6 months) and am trying to get into a job on the fed side since it sounds like a pretty cush lifestyle and comes with a lot of benefits & stability. Any advice on getting started/getting a foot in the door? Also, does anyone have experience working for the fed govt? Rn, the company I'm at pays well enough, but the work is menial and there's no upward mobility. I feel like if I go to the fed side and put in my time now, I'll be able to retire early with a pension and the pay is extremely transparent and it's pretty much a guaranteed increase each year. I'm fine with making less money than private if it means I can have a stable pay scale over time. Plus once my…
