So I have been dealing with one of the lease useful managers I've ever had at my current job. Guy basically has his title because he's able to work 3rd shift and has been there 30 years. Every single time I ask a question I get maybe 3 words of an answer and nothing that would count as useful information. I used to feel bad for the guy only because I can tell he has no social skills and they just put him in his position due of lack of options but still… Now lately I've had an issue with my email info so we've been using his login info so I can submit reports I need to send every shift. I used the search feature to check on my IT issue status and I saw that during the raises we got a month ago that I was eligible for…

Did not get paid. Any options?
I was supposed to get paid this week but boss “forgot” to tell me that payday changed. This is my first week with the company, but I have rent due in a couple days and I don't know what to do. Do I have any immediate recourse here? I was explicitly told, in writing I would receive a paycheck yesterday and did not. South Carolina
While 85 million Americans are uninsured or underinsured, the CEOs of six health insurance and services companies made a combined $355 million in 2022 – 18% more than in 2021. Work phone.
I started a new job a few weeks ago. It’s only interim employment while I wait to start a job where the process can take 6-12months. Now this current job issued me with a works phone. Last night at 7pm my ‘boss’ tried to call me and when I didn’t answer he text asking if I was able to work on Sunday despite being pencilled in as being on a rest day. I was out for a few drinks in the evening and do they expect me to take my work phone with me everywhere? I said I had plans, and now I’ve looked at my calendar and my rest day has been changed to ‘unavailable’ which I already know they’ll use against me if I don’t hit the guaranteed minimum hours worked so they can pay me less. Then after getting back late and intended to have a bit…
I am an hourly worker who powder coat sparyer and I was talking with our areas engineer who is salaried. We get talking about our PTO and it turns out after 5 years they get 5 weeks of PTO. In order for me to get that I'd have to work for the company for 25 years. To make it worse after 10 years I have 3 weeks but found out I'm in a 5 year pause of adding PTO.This means after my 15th year they will add another day every year until I reach 5 weeks. I am so angry about this and don't understand why the hourly jobs are treated so differently.
HireRight frustrations
how come hireright can't verify any of my employment? I already sent them W2. worked at several companies that went through acquisitions. I gave them the name of the old company and the one that acquired them. how can it be this hard!

I believe in the right to not work
We have definitely reached a time where we can provide everyone with basics like food electric even small and private shelter whether it's 3d printed tiny homes or apartments in all the empty skyscrapers and shopping malls I think when you force people to work it's what leads to all this resentment and anger in the world let people stay home check out of society if they'd like to don't force it If you would like to work then you will be rewarded and you can have a bigger home with newer things and go on more trips that seems fair but as far as food Healthcare shelter we should all have guaranteed basic access
Looking at it, it just never made sense. Why would the rich even want to take less than what they possibly could as far as profits? Why would anyone?
