Hey y’all, so I was fired from a place a little bit ago and I left some pretty scathing but true reviews about the place on indeed and google. They called me today asking if I would take them down as I’m apparently “still in good standing with them” even though once I was fired they didn’t help me find another job(went through a temp agency with them and the contracted company fired me and the temp agency ghosted me until just now) is there any legal repercussions or anything because I do not want to take them down.

I have worked across several commercial property companies, while I am in IT here is my input into the whole return to work arguments: Leases are 5, 7 or 10 years, most leases where negotiated pre-pandemic and this has led to a massive financial lose. Office maintenance, cleaning, preventative maintenance is a massive OPEX. Middle management/ Micro management, with the inability to constantly “improve productivity” why are so many managers required? Loss of property value Decline in CBD value Decline in CBD cash flow (cafe, restaurants, gyms, etc…) Some meetings and decisions are better made face to face Loss of community and culture (this one does have an impact and I do enjoy the occasional day in the office, with my colleagues however I feel I get less work done on these days…)

I work in a kitchen so it isnt a huge surprise, but I cycle 6 km each way and I then work 9 hours at physically and mentally demanding job. I am happy to have a weekend off at the end of it, but is that ridiculous or is it just me?

It has been over a year now since I have received my wages for my work, despite writing over 60 plus emails to the company's HR department and their parent company, SynapseIndia. Unfortunately, my emails have gone unanswered, and I have even been blocked from further communication. I am at my wit's end and need your help to raise awareness about my situation. After writing several emails to the company and the director, I got a call from a fellow employee, that the owner of the company, Shamit Khemka, was angry and said that if I send one more email I wont…
Coordinated layoffs in tech
Fascinating how all these tech companies keep getting away with coordinating their layoffs all at once: Amazon Wednesday Dropbox Thursday Meta Tuesday Etc. How is no one from government looking into this?
No Talking At Work
So yesterday at the end of my shift my manager took me in to tell me I had a few complaints from colleagues that I talk too much despite it being work related things. So now I’ve been told if anyone wants to speak to me or I speak to them, I have to ask my supervisors permission.
