This happened some years ago. I was working as a veterinary technician when they pulled me into my manager's office. They said they were firing me for abusing a patient. When I asked about details, it comes out that the incident happened there on my day off. I had zero to do with it. I pointed this out and was told “Sorry, but the decision has been made.” Honestly, it was a blessing in disguise. They went out of business two years later.

Can’t imagine working in a place where these are their bosses values.
I interviewed for a really unattractive job a few weeks ago. The owner called me at 11pm last night for a follow-up. I was dead asleep and the phone scared the fuck out of me. So, obviously they hired someone else and they didn’t work out. But calling me that late and waking my whole house up was so fucking rude. Not to mention, I withdrew my application immediately after I met with him. This guy offers NO benefits. A 401k that they do not contribute anything to. The state mandated sick time (which he complained about) and no more than that. One week vacation AFTER 2 years of employment. Also, he wants someone working hourly for 48 hours a week. I said I’m only interested in working for 40, and said “that’s disappointing”. This job is literally just a paycheck. I don’t want to hear “people don’t want to…
Bruce was almost right!
My first check missing
So I just started a part time position at a local grocery store and this is my 3rd week going on 4th week. They have an app for pay and scheduling. App says I got paid last week 4/21 but non of the managers can find my check. I have set up direct deposit but apparently it takes some time for direct deposit to go through. I have now asked three different managers and none of them can give me an answer. What you guys think I should do?
KNOW YOUR WORTH PEOPLE
So I work for a trash valet company. Basically what I do is pick up trash door to door for a couple apartment complexes. Needles to say that my job sucks. About a month ago I gave notice to my manager that I was applying for new jobs and that he needed to find a replacement (stupid of me, I know) so they found someone who would replace me, I trained him for a week then I was told that i couldn’t work anymore because they couldn’t afford to pay me and the new hire at the same time. Not even a week later I get a call saying that the new guy stopped showing up and asking me to come back to work. I accepted just because I hadn’t landed a new job yet. Two weeks after I got a job offer and accepted . I told my manager…
Bed bath and beyond closing (thoughts)
BB&B, as well as Buybuy Baby, are closing hundreds of stores. This means thousands of people will lose their jobs. Not only that, but it seems like brick and mortar stores will soon be a thing of the past. Honestly this has me thinking that gas stations aren’t far off from closing down either once electric cars fully take over. Other than hotels, restaurants, and grocery stores, what will be left? What kind of jobs will retail employees be able to flock to?
The corporate ladder is an MLM scam
Sorry if this is a re-upload. First one didn’t go through
