So I’m unloading the delivery truck and part of what we got was the little Hershey pies every Burger King has. When we ran through inventory later, they went missing. Fast forward and my employer not only wanted to search my truck but photos of the cab as well. I declined and they were not happy. What the hell am I supposed to do here? My keys were in the break room the entire time while at work. Anyways wanted to rant a lil

A simple law that I would pass
If you employ more than 50 people and anyone who works for you is eligible for food stamps/SNAP, food stamps cannot be used at your business. Call it the Walmart Double Dip bill.
I had applied for a company on Indeed.com, I know it's not the best website but I am relatively new to the Austin area and I don't really know any better websites, nor do I want to walk around in Texas heat any more than I absolutely have to. The job I had applied to stated a pay rate of $800 a week to start off with and $1000 a week after I am done with training, which when you take into account my previous job experience being nothing but fast food, a potential $25 an hour seemed pretty good, assuming the job was 40 hours a week like the indeed listing said it was. Then the red flags started popping up with the first over the phone interview. The job was actually 48 hours a week, not 40, basically it would a typical 9-5 but with you working Saturday…
My job always writes quotes or “fun facts” and I found this one painfully ironic
my partners boss texted them yesterday morning at 8am to, “be in by 10am today” with no explanation. We had plans, and it was their off day anyways so they just didn’t respond to the text. Later that night their boss texts, “just so you know it’s considered a no call no show to not respond and not show up”. They never signed any papers that said this was company policy, nor have they ever been informed of this. Now, their boss is going to make them sign a write up, or they will be fired. Why is this legal? We live in an at-will employment state which doesn’t require any notice of shift changes or overtime requirements. I fucking hate this country.
I work at a “green” company. They’re making us come in 4/5 days per week because the CEO said so. This is how we’re handling it. 🤷
Anyways anyone looking to be a millionaire ? Gimme a move ..
$12 work, ridiculous requirements
Let’s just say I ain’t stayin long term. Collect 2-3 paychecks to afford groceries
Is it possible?
I’m still relatively young and don’t have all that much life experience, but reading this Reddit has me questioning what to do with my life. I don’t want to struggle like the majority, but some make it out to be like it’s inevitable unless your born into wealth. If your someone who feels like they did all the right things but still feel like they have a sucky life please comment what you would do differently. Please be honest and comment if you have a degree in something useful like engineering vs something like art and if that affected what happened to you. Please be honest if you also made any excuses like maybe you didn’t do all you could’ve done and instead of studying you played some videos games or smoked some weed.
