8 week “communication” course work is requiring me to attend

I went to school for Youth Ministry. I totally get how to help people feel connected, accepted, and like they have a meaningful place in a community. It feels really manipulative and unsafe when the people in my toxic work environment require me to attend a class like this. I know this person is going to ask very personal questions and try to encourage vulnerability. But my co workers aren’t my friends (we get along and I’m friendly and cordial but don’t go out of my way to hang out with them outside of work) and I also know that the majority of people in this meeting are emotionally closed off people. It feels super unsafe to be encouraged to be vulnerable to people who can fire you if they stop liking you. I feel like work places are trying to overstep by becoming something they were never designed to…
