Hiring is broken! You should always compete with bots, spammers, and unmotivated people in order just to get a first interview… So, what if we will have a platform where candidates will pay to apply? Yes, it sounds revolting, but consider it carefully.A person who is willing to pay a small fee (5–10 dollars) is actually serious about the job and ready to pass the interview process. By paying, we will eliminate spammers and unmotivated people without experience. Also, another solution is direct referral! What if current employees (who are actually working at the company) refer candidates directly to HR and earn a referral bonus? Both parties will be pleased as a result, because the current employee will benefit from the referral bonus, and HR will receive a qualified candidate directly from the current employee.
