Can I get into legal trouble if I keep putting in leave of absences?

I’ve had the feeling that I’m gonna get fired soon and for the past month or so I’ve been submitting loa’s to avoid going to work. I work in a warehouse and they are notorious for letting you drive all the way to work, work half the day, and tell you you’re fired only halfway through your 10 hour shift. It’s in a different city than I live in and I don’t have a car so I mostly commute using Uber and it would just be an inconvenience. I’ve been submitting emergency Covid loa’s because they take me out of work for a week and they’re paid, so I was wondering if I could get into any legal trouble if I continued to do this until I find a new job?
