Had a company call me for a fractional controller position (work/consult on an hourly basis for multiple company as their accounting controller) and was informed I can’t do any other accounting for anyone else … I said my wife is a real estate agent and I do her accounting, is that an issue. They said unfortunately that’s a conflict of interest but they would be happy to take it over for me and then they could bill her and I could work as her consultant. What a joke! Vent over
