I currently work at a coffee shop as a waiter. I was quite happy, the pay is good and I leave when the clock says to. But there is this thing that every establishment seems to be doing that the manager can't see you relaxed.
In this coffee shop there are dead hours. No customers, nothing to do. I used to just sit or scroll a bit through reddit because I was exhausted. (When there are costumers its too stressing)
The manager –boot licker– saw that and now she has me cleaning EVERYTHING EVERYTIME I dont have customers.
And I mean cleaning what has already been cleaned. This has been the case in almost every job I've been working. It's insane.
'You can't be relaxed because we are paying for your work'
No. That sentence is bullshit. You pay my work AND MY TIME. I may be relaxed or got nothing to do. That's your bussiness, not mine. You pay me because I'm here at the coffee shop, waiting for costumers; I'm not at my house.
