I had 2 interviews about 3 weeks apart, the first was making $19/hr and i was offered the job immediately, I told them i would let them know in 2 weeks since i was still at my previous job and wanted to give notice. I was still looking around because even though this was better pay than i ever got there was no opportunity for growth in this role, in 2 weeks I was contacted for an interview at another company making only $16/hr but i could go much farther in this role than the first job so i contacted the first job and was extremely upfront bc i knew they really wanted me, i told them i had another interview and i wanted to see where it goes and if i could have another week to decide. so i do the interview and i’m outright offered the job but was told that i had to fill out an application on the companies official website before they could move on with the hiring process. i went home filled out the application and contacted the first job letting them know i accepted a different offer. it’s been 4 days and i haven’t heard back from the company about where i’m at in the hiring process despite my emails and call. i feel like they may have ghosted me and hired someone else and now i’m fucked bc i already quit my job and turned down the other offer. idk if i’m just being impatient but i find it weird they won’t return my call or emails. should i start looking for something else?
