Big money at my place is like, it's time to return to the office. We have a 6 floor office building but we need to condense the people we have to use less lighting and AC and cleaning staff needs to just 2 floors. We have been working from home since covid started and now I need to return to the office 1 day a week.. I'm only upset because the reasoning is upper management wants to see our faces.. it's the 3rd week of return to onsite one day a week.. I haven't seen anyone other than my direct boss.
It costs me gas to drive to work, car maintenance to keep the car going to work, clothing and laundry to run the monkey suit that gets no attention.. lunch packing.. and I'm nowhere near the bathroom…..
When we go to the office everyone wants to just stand around and socialize.. Im not a people person I barely talk to my own family what makes you think I want to know about yours Becky from accounting..
I'm not anti work.. I'm anti jumping through hoops because someone decided 3 years of this tiny raises but not needing us to come is should end.. the not going in part, not the tiny raises.. those will continue until moral improves or something like that.
Edit.. plus traffic.. coming and going.. just less me time
