This might just be a personal rant:
My company got purchased by a larger company and we were told that as long as we assist with the transition, we would have jobs at the new company, and AT WORST, our jobs are safe through 9/30.
Yesterday I got told that not only did I not get a job at the new company, they're moving my termination date up to 6/30 because I'm the least-senior person on my team and people from another department will be doing my job so they can keep their job longer.
Make sure you guys always look out for yourselves first and never trust your company when they tell you these things. I could have been looking for a new job for weeks….
