Quitting with no notice

I joined a new B2B SaaS company in January as an IC. I’m fully remote. I realized quickly (6 weeks in) that my manager is unbearable and honestly unqualified for her role. In addition to being a constant micromanager, she also doesn’t pay attention half the time during meetings, can’t formulate a consistent strategy for our department, and gaslights the fuck out of people (ex: Her: why did you do X that way? Me: Because you asked me to do it that way. Her: oh no I don’t think I did.) Apparently this isn’t anything new. Two people quit before I joined because of her (a coworker told me), and she was put on a performance improvement plan two months ago. I thought maybe things would get better but neither I nor her other direct reports have seen any improvement. Her boss knows as well. Unfortunately, it seems they are…

Her: oh no I don’t think I did.)

Apparently this isn’t anything new.

Two people quit before I joined because of her (a coworker told me), and she was put on a performance improvement plan two months ago. I thought maybe things would get better but neither I nor her other direct reports have seen any improvement. Her boss knows as well. Unfortunately, it seems they are friends and is getting some kind of preferential treatment. Which is even more frustrating.

I’ve been more stressed and anxiety-riddled the past few months than I’ve ever been in my entire life. And I’ve been doing this for 8 years. It’s severely impacting my daily life.

I just accepted a job offer yesterday and plan on putting in my notice next week and leaving on the spot.

I’ve never left a job with no notice and the only reason I don’t feel like a complete dick leaving like this is because my boss sucks, the company knows, and they aren’t doing what needs to be done.

I’m planning on just sending an email to her, her boss, and HR.

Any tips on what I should say? If you’ve done this before, how did it go? I want to keep the email professional but short, and let them know I’m not open to any future discussions about things.
