Confused about how to proceed with my current employer.

I work for a franchise in California. Earlier this week I talked to my manager over the phone as she is not usually in the building and let her know my availability would be changing due to person reasons. I have been open with her as things have been changing and told her I was happy to continue working weekends. It’s not that I want to stay but I do need to continue to have some income. So if I come in for a 9am shift at 8:50 and there are customers at the counter I have to help them, and if I stay past 5 when we close I only get paid 9-5.

I gave a two week notice to my change to weekends only and at first my manager seemed thankful and told me how much she loves having me work there. Today she called and told me that after my two weeks of regular shifts was up that wouldn’t have me back and that they have found coverage for those times. She’s asked me to submit a resignation letter.

It seems weird to me to submit a resignation letter for a job that told me not to come back. Should I even show up for my next shifts? I feel like I’m being fired but they still want me to work two weeks and then submit a letter like I gave two weeks to quit.
