I feel bad being a hard worker

I understand in a capitalist society I am a cog in the machine. I know I should do the bare minimum and clock out but I can't. I've started a new job for the purpose of management and I'm already planning the ways in which I will improve this place. I don't care about the company but it's food service and everywhere I go the food standards are not upheld and I mean in big ways like touching phones and not washing their hands after. I'm worried I will certainly face defiance and laziness no matter how I approach it. These people understand their shitty minimum wage job and that they only need to do the minimum. I can't stop myself from caring about this. If I'm going to spend 40 hours a week doing something I want to do well and have it reflect that. I don't know. I'm…
