Not sure about all places, but everywhere I have worked there are no real breaks in kitchens, you shovel food down when you can, pop out for a quick smoke. Then your employer fudged the numbers to make it look like you took the required breaks. I've never worked outside of California so I'm just curious if this is everywhere.
