Trendy Buzzwords

I've been applying for many jobs in the past few months and secured dozens of interviews. As kids, we've always been taught never to settle and to know our worth. Even when I joined the workforce in my teens, I was taught to never stop applying for jobs because you have nothing to lose, and you can always find something better. I've noticed recently that there are a ton of phrases they throw around in news articles and on the news itself, like “quiet quitting”, “rage applying”, “quiet hiring”, etc. What is so bad about finding better compensation elsewhere, or knowing your worth in the workplace? I don't understand why it's now an issue to try and move up the ladder. We're all drowning in this economy and we have to keep moving. How else can we do that other than to look for the most “bang for the buck”…

We're all drowning in this economy and we have to keep moving. How else can we do that other than to look for the most “bang for the buck” job? And now the news is getting on our asses about doing what we need to do to survive? The fuck is going on?
