I once got kicked out of a mass interview for saying “My name is Alex and I like to party!” The repercussions were worth it

Over a decade ago I had an interview at some kind of upscale city oceanfront venue, I got dressed up wrote up my resume, caught public transport to that side of town.. just to find out it was a mass interview of about 50 people. This ultra arrogant general manager starts with a spiel about how great he is and how great it is to work for him and how he needs the best team that will do anything it takes… I was pretty enraged Then he made everyone stand up one by one and talk about themselves, their work experience and why they should be hired over everyone else. This ultra arrogant general manager starts with a spiel about how great he is and how great it is to work for him and how he needs the best team that will do anything it takes… I was pretty enraged

Then he made everyone stand up one by one and talk about themselves, their work experience and why they should be hired over everyone else.

I really loved the film hotrod at the time and stood up, said “My name is Alex and I like to party”

Everyone laughed but the GM who was pissed, he demanded to know my full name and recruitment agency, so I told him and he told me to leave. It was so worth it to wipe his arrogant smug look off his face.
