I've recieved a strong verdict on my last post about leaving, and thank you to everyone on this subreddit who helped me realize I needed to have more self-respect and move on from my job. But with that, I need advice on what my response should be to management asking about my employment status during my interviews.
I plan on leaving this aforementioned job without a notice. Should I tell management I am employed but available to work as soon as they accept? Would they assume that I'd be departing from my current job without a notice, or worse, ask if I will leave a notice during the interview? If I lie and say I am unemployed, is there any way they can find out? Should I EVEN MENTION my current job? (Only valuable and relevant experience at that job is customer service experience, but I have a lot of that already.)
This would be less of a predicament if it weren't for the fact that I do not have a car and as such, my employment opportunities are in close proximity at my soon-to-be ex job.
Quitting and then applying is not an option either, if I walk the plank, I expect to jump onto another ship!
