I have a boss, who would give out a complex task to do (e.g. report) with a fair deadline, with clear instructions initially, I go and work on it, and it’s due today. I asked for a review, rather than reading my report, he makes additional suggestions that were not mentioned earlier and asks why it was not implemented such and such.
It is due today, he comes today and says brutally this is not what he wanted, wants something else entirely, and still holds me to the (now) tight deadline.
I feel with this person, a) I can’t read their mind b) any effort is wasted.
I spent the last week busting my butt to get this report done and now at the 11th hour he wants it another way.
