What's the point of that?
I have to take off late December for something personal and important. Not leisurely and unavoidable. Told my bosses what it is, was told all of the bottom half of December was an automatic decline to requests, even if you have a balance.
I asked if I can make it up by working 4 extra hours for two days or even make it up over the weekend and they said that is fine. Then told me to go ahead and fill out the request anyway. I get that salary positions mean no OT is entitled, but why do I still have to use my vacation hours then…
I'm totally even happy working all weekend to make up any work…if they left my balance alone…
