At my shitty job that I'm about to leave, they tell us if we decide to take the day off on a holiday, we have to make it up. For example, my coworker runs a therapy group for two hours a day, Monday through Thursday. They told him that if he decided to take Monday Memorial Day off, he would have to work on Friday and have group then. Isn't that not the definition of a holiday?? We are given Monday as PTO. But then he has to “make up” the group on Friday. That seems strange to me.
