A quick question regarding The Right to Sit in NY

I work for a retail place that I won’t name, and they are adamant about not sitting at the cash register… or anywhere. Outside of the break room where I can sit during a 10 minute break (30 on full time days), there’s nowhere to sit in the store. I did some research and found this law https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/laws/LAB/203-B which I believe applies to me. I want to ask for a seat again and if they say no bring this law up, but I’m very new to the company and worried they might just decide to fire me over it. If they do, would there be anything I could do? What law would protect me in this case?
