So I've been thinking or wondering if there is a limit in which working with others ( assuming coworkers or customers both require some levels of emotional labor) can affect us negativity. Like is there a sweet spot or limit on how much we “should” work with people?
I've been thinking about this because I work retail and I'm a mother. I feel like when I come home, I just want silence and hugs. I'm just so emotionally exhausted, more than I ever experienced of late.
If there is a healthy or unhealthy limit, I'd love to know, for tge sake of arguing for antiwork or just to understand myself.
