Don’t do it ….
I am a CPA, and it’s the worst field to ever exist because there are no progressive ideas in this field
1) tax season – salaried so no overtime but you must work 60+ hours minimum and expect nothing in return (Work like a lawyer but get paid like a janitor b/c no one wants to pay their accountant $$$$)
2) no 401k matching in 99% of the industry, literally 0 benefits
3) monthly health insurance is $300+ with a $2000 deductible!!! No dental or vision
4) not to mention the monotonous work and every question is answered with “do the same thing as last year”
I am planning to quit this slavery and move to a different field for the sake of just being able to save my mental health
