Advice within vet profession

Hi there, I am a just under a year at a rapidly expanding corporate out of the north east (I am in the midatlantic). I was hired on with a lot of promises (quality of life-Promised that we would be out on time mostly, noted would be aided by a scribe, and a dedicated tech. Clearly the expansion is not panning out because there is a hiring freeze and they are taking away how much staff is the floor. We were promised clean hospitals and cleaning crews (straighy out the window). Everytime anyone brings this up, the reponse seems that to be, “they know” and are working on it. But every new change seems to be taking away things. The dreaded numbers game is being used. We have to prove we need blocks and a nurse. It feels like a bait and switch. Any meaningful change is pushed out without appropriate training (just multiple emails of changes). It overall feels like they oversold, and they clearly have to report to investors. At what point do you quit giving them chances. I have a feeling the owners are trying to prepare the company for sale (CEO stepped down to start a new company) Are there any other signs to look for that point to blood in the water? Im likely going to resign and go back to ER (somehow this place is ending up worse). Im still doing notes late into the morning hours (as with ER) at this point i may as well just go back. I just feel like im rushed apointment to appointment + walkins. There is no time for call backs. I was just lectured about not scheduling enough surgeries which is why we now have to have appointments after surgery. (Just like i did in my banfield days…rushing to make 3pm appointments). I am at the point where im ready to hang my stethoscope up. My support staff is exhausted as they are making up for the lack of nurses. And unlike human medicine, its really more of a two man job (at least) .
