Anyone else work at a place so awful that people keep leaving the job after less than a year?

I work at a place with high turnover because of the high stress and terrible benefits. The pay is just average. In the short time I've worked there I've seen so many workers who started after me quit often without another job lined up and sometimes with no notice, in other words, job abandonment.
