I was just thinking hard since I work in the government sector almost 16 years. I tried to pick up the slack due to being really short staffed also volunteered to go to training for different job duties. I all of sudden got my pick given to other coworker to save costs which was ridiculous. I emailed my union but doubt they can do anything. I have the email saying I was chosen but my manager switched me with other coworker without telling me.
Im not going to pick up any more work and going to look n apply for different jobs in the government sector. It's short staffed everywhere anyways in the public and private sector.
Be sure you all take time to take care of yourselves since work doesn't care about you also you are replaceable anyways.
