I was getting harassed by the tech guy.
Okay. Honestly, I just have to blow off steam. I am so bothered by this even though I have since left the job and I will never see these people again. I am 28f and I worked at a small business for 3 years. After about 2 and a half years, the tech guy that still works there started having lunch with me. It was every other day at first, which I didn't mind. I know that he has been an out cast his entire life and that he was lonely. Every other day turned into EVERY SINGLE DAY. Again, at first it was okay but I did start to get annoyed. Sometimes I just want to sit in silence on my lunch. Especially on our busiest days. I would eat out a couple of times a week just to avoid him. Then he was gone for 3 weeks. He…
So I got the idea to comment because a good post about a company adapting Elon's BS firing all staff and operate with bare minimum “strategy” was deleted by OP. So here is my story time. I got a great position at tech startup last year, cut to early this year, when al tech companies were busy firing people left and right. It happend to about 20% of us. Now I go on LinkedIn and I see post by the people still there, posting job offers. I know from a friend who is still working there that company culture significantly changed i.e. removing all of the benefits like HO stipend or having welless packages, etc. He worked last month, at least three weeks, all week Monday to Sunday (NO overtime pay whatsoever ). I have not verified but I am betting that they have significantly lowered the salaries positions in…
Finally a big wig is speaking some sense
https://www.entrepreneur.com/business-news/kevin-oleary-disagrees-with-martha-stewart-about-remote/453861 I'm not saying that everything this guy does is right, but I am saying it's a step in the right direction that one of these California oligarchs is at least speaking some sense.
So I might be dealing with retaliation?
I work in food service as a manager, to boil it down, I called out sick and was excluded for 5days (including the weekend, which are our busy days). Since I’ve been back I heard from one of the other managers that our GM decided to take an extra vacation day and “make me work the weekend” since I “made him” work the last weekend. Again, I was sick. Not much one can do about those circumstances except try to get better. What should I do? I feel like this is a slippery slope to more bad behavior if it isn’t addressed. I don’t know if it’s something that can be sued over or not. Any feedback is appreciated.

How should I respond to this email?
Although I do not have an official title on my team directly, i have a IT related title for the entire organization. It's not big, but it's a title. None of my other team members have any knowledge about IT, they freak out if stuff doesn't print or mouse doesn't click. And I constantly do process improvement projects. So I sent a suggestion to associate director (of operations) of my team. He explained to me the reason why don't we do it the way I suggested and also cc'ed my director. I replied to both, may be we should? What's the difference bw doing it your way vs my way, it's the same number of clicks and minutes. Then I get this scathing email from director, who is normally pretty friendly with me and we frequently talk about our personal lives with each other, known each other for about 8…
