i just recently started serving at a small restaurant in my town and i really enjoy it except for this one terrible manager. i understand during our rush that everyone gets stressed but she will get in your face and scream at you. i can handle the yelling but one thing i can’t do is being touched. i have severe ptsd from a very abusive relationship and being touched by other people is one of my triggers. the other day when we weren’t even in a rush i was standing behind her waiting to grab my food from the kitchen when she turned around, grabbed me by my wrists and dragged me to the other side of the table that the kitchen puts their food on and yelled at me to stand over there. not only was it super triggering for me but it was also humiliating and degrading as…

I’m about to quit but before I do…
I’m sending this to all my fellow co-workers via work email and my management shortly after so they don’t scrub it. “To everyone here at [redacted], In my opinion, you should ask yourselves why a company that made 5 million dollars last year can't pay you more or what you deserve. You're hard work and compassion has made this company. Not [redacted]’s. Yours. You deserve to be compensated and have access to the means of your production. A company that claims to be different yet keeps all the fruits of OUR labor to themselves deserves to be questioned. We are [redacted]. Our calls, our work for our members, has allowed them the lives they lead. I leave [redacted] grateful for the opportunity but disappointed it's ended so predictably; with money staying at the top. You deserve a raise, they ask more of you while demanding you make the same. Do…
I'm so numb to rejections or not being answered that I feel like I need to show the same attitude towards these companies. I'll see something that looks even the slightest bit remotely like something I might be interested in or have experience with and hit “apply” mindlessly, then move on. Maybe if I keep tossing my resume out there it'll stick. It doesn't feel like my job search is productive anymore, it feels exactly like I'm scrolling through reddit and upvoting somewhat interesting posts before moving to the next one right away. It really feels like a hopeless endeavor.

Oh no please don't blacklist me from a place that treats me like absolute shit and makes me now wanna work there anymore. https://www.reddit.com/r/Target/comments/13l12bd/please_work_your_last_shifts_before_you_quit/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Short version – I have a management position and have not received a raise in over 2.5 years. I have asked my CEO and they said they will do an evaluation with a raise, however it has taken them over 3 months to 'type it up' and claiming he's just too busy. I know he knows I deserve one and even says so himself, he even adds responsibilities to my role. I break my back for this company – come in on weekends and work even while on vacation because I am the only one who can do my job. My role is extremely important to keep this company running and I do not feel as though I am valued or prioritized. I had applied to other jobs and got an offer for $7k more than I make, but less benefits ($250 a month to tuition is a big loss…
Last post was removed so here it is without a screen shot of text. I was on the phone with them and heard the manager in the background yelling at my SO. There was a disagreement with another worker on a messenger app so the manger came to confront my S/O. The manger was yelling and calling for other managers as well. S/O said they were going to leave and the manager said if you leave don't come back. S/O left obviously… were they fired or is this quitting? What is the best way to respond to this conversation so they can collect unemployment? She no longer wants the job. Here is how the conversation went: S/O: Hey PAYROLL, MANAGER tried to corner me and was raising his voice at me so I told him I was going to leave. He told me not to come back so l'll need…
The central air intake is moving the air from the top of the building into every hallway. For the past few weeks and for another month the roofers are working on the top of the building. I have worked in roofing before – it is more dangerous than being a police officer – but at least I was outdoors and had fresh air. No such luck in this building. The bathrooms (when it is men you smell the women and vice versa) just smell like tar. I tried to google what the effects are but all I get is advertisements. How bad is it to have the taste in your mouth and breathe this air for a month?
First disrespect, now cut my hours
I work as a server. I make decent money, usually at least around $100 a night. It’s enough for me. Close to $200 on a busy one. I work usually 35 hours and 4-5 days a week, closing most nights. My partner got super sick out of now where a few days ago, vomiting and all that jazz… I was worried for numerous reasons… he was home alone and struggling to take care of himself, I had been feeling a bit sick myself for days prior, and then I find out two people at my work had called out sick too, one of which had Covid. I notified one of my managers, was told it was OK and they’d see if someone could cover so I could go home and rest/test. Second manager comes out and lays into me. Tells me that vomiting isn’t a symptom of Covid (it is),…
