Indeed.com is solid but its also scamsville, full of repeat/fake jobs that are just collecting your data. I wondered if there were better more specialized sites I could be using. Been working in an office for a week and a half and I'm already sick of it. There's an office boogeyman that treats people like children and takes their phones away. This is nonsense lmao

I feel burned out about everything, nothing in this world feels good or at least good enough to keep spinning on this proverbial wheel, always chasing a piece of cheese. I’ll be honest, I haven’t worked many jobs so maybe my view is skewed (pretty much all of them were retail) but after being without work for a year and knowing I will have to get work soon, I loathe the prospect of it. I’ve just gotten to the point where I’d rather starve than go back to work as pretty much every job I’ve been in I’ve felt isolated, tired and without control. I know these are very “zoomer” or “millennial” takes as my family would put it, but this is how I feel. I don’t want to commit myself to this for the rest of my life. The other reason why I don’t is the question of “for…
Look at this crap, it's all over the goddamn place! How the hell does this make any sense???
I work for a small telecoms company in the UK. I am on a relatively low salary of £16k a year but with OTE bonuses it can top this up to £30k a year. In the last 6 months our bonus structure has changed three times.. each time it progressively it has gotten harder and harder to hit bonus to the point where unless you’re on the phones 10 hours a day then you’re stuck on £16k a year. I recently found out (a guy who I work withs wife knows my bosses wife) that they’ve just bought an £800k house in Devon (Very nice area for those outside of the UK) Now I’m not sure that the 2 are entirely related, but it does seem suspicious! Not sure whether to say anything as I can’t afford to lose my job. Any help/advice is appreciated. Thanks
Not understanding OT laws in California
My usual schedule is 12AM – 8AM but have been covering and on call. I worked a total of 52 hours but I put in that after a total of 40 hours worked (including the OT to make the 40) the rest was OT. Pay periods begin Friday. Can someone help or confirm? FRIDAY: 12AM – 8AM SATURDAY: 6:30AM – 4PM SUNDAY: 2AM – 2:30AM then came back 10AM – 5PM MONDAY 9PM – 8:30AM TUESDAY WEDNESDAY: 12AM – 8AM THURSDAY: 1:30AM – 8AM. I did my timesheet and it should come out to 35hours regular pay and 17 hours overtime pay. Can someone confirm this as my manager is saying it is 40 hours regular pay and 12 hours overtime.
I know that sounds bad y'all, but we're a small (under 18 people) company, we recently grew exponentially this year and had to hire to keep up. Have 2 owners, a general manager, warehouse staff and drivers, and office staff. I've been in the office for two years and have seen the company grow. Last year we hired a part-timer who cannot get more hours due to lack of childcare. But now we need a third office person, full-time, so I can take days off and the office run smoothly. We're hitting heavy season. She is unreliable, dramatic, takes days off on a whim, and applied for a different job. I don't blame her for wanting to leave, it pays better and has health benefits. But she's leaving us hanging and hasn't told the bosses. I'm left picking up and doing extra work. She got a concussion over the weekend.…
Question about company equipment
My wife was working remotely as a medical scribe before our daughter was born last October. In September, that company sent her a laptop and monitor. She tried to return it to them, but they messed up the return and told her they'd contact her later to get it fixed. They never did. At what point can I sell them?
