From the company that brought you fun tik-toks like “I just lost 10-20k a year because management didn’t train me how to keep my route evaluation up because their bonus bias is on keeping me sprinting and paid least.” Comes a new twist called “we did all your training for you so you wouldn’t spend any hours in the office learning how to not die from heat stroke, how to handle various hazardous goods etc!” Yes, the post office after destroying rural carriers pay and making them work more days on top of that pay cut has apparently for years logged into postal accounts and faked their training on everything from privacy to safety issues including some of the things known to kill carriers I.E heat. See link by vice for more on the pay issue. https://www.vice.com/en/article/88xnbb/two-thirds-of-rural-mail-carriers-are-being-hit-with-a-massive-pay-cut-calculated-by-an-algorithm See link about the National Association Of Letter Carriers addressing this falsification of…

I’ll start w this: I work as a part time dishwasher for a mom and pops Italian restaurant 35 mins drive away from me. I also receive disability so I HAVE to make only a certain dollar amount before taxes as well. I don’t drive (yet) and only because I want nothing to do with driving my parents around so that they can take advantage of me too. The last 3 weeks I’ve been over scheduled bc they “need the help”. We’ve had like 3/4 turnovers in the last 3 months bc my kitchen manager is an asshole at times, and to top it off, these mfs had the AUDACITY to tell everyone our checks would be late bc they’re switching banks and NEVER DID. They even threw a sympathy party for me bc I pay damn near 60$ a shift to go work there. I told them I’d stay…
Probably not right place for this as is antiwork but couldn't think of a suitable sub reddit to post in and thought people in here are quite likely clued up and I'm trying in hope someone knows more than me. In essence my contract is 35hrs apparently however they say I need to work an extra 21.25hrs a month to meet my contracted hours and then any hours on top would be overtime rate. What I don't understand is if my contract is 35hrs why I have to make up any hours at all. The 21.25 hrs is paid at basic rate but if didn't need to be made up it would be paid at time and a half. Just wondering if anyone can explain where I'm going wrong if I am. Thank you in advance, if you have any further questions ill be happy to answer.
My husband has four-day work weeks, but he and his team only get breaks on two of those days. His manager, however, takes his break every day to eat his lunch and smoke weed in his car while not even coordinating bathroom breaks for anyone else. The dude is a big lazy bully, and he sometimes doesn't even respond or look at my husband when he tries to talk to him. The owners think this guy is a godsend to their business

For the last 12 years I've been working in a tire factory doing production shift work (all 12 hr shifts, 7-7 rotating between days and nights). The new job I've just started pays about half what I was making starting out and it's the best decision I've ever made… I've seen the company slowly and methodically over time pick away at our compensation and benefits, which for the insane work environment and expectations was absolutely needed to keep employees. I've seen them create multiple classes of workers that do the exact same jobs but because you where hired after a certain year you'll never make as much as those hired before you and will do the exact same work until the day you retire. I've seen them take away our company paid pension, “free tire” benefit, and medical once you retire which you used to have until the day you died.…
