HR Ignoring Discrimination
Venting and also wondering if anyone has any ideas on what to do. I work for a very large and shitty company. A month ago I reported my boss for discrimination after a number of instances and after taking it to their boss and having no help I reported it to the third party company my job has to take “anonymous” complaints (I did give them my name and asked for a call back). I finally heard back from HR on my company’s end and after they failed to set up a time to call me they closed the case. The HR person asked when would be best to call, then called a week after the availability I gave, then proceeded to just say “I will call” in repeated emails before closing the case. Literally my last message to them was “Just let me know what times work best for…
So I am an eyeglass sales person and also mainly the lab tech at my store and a lot of times I’m the only one that can cut the lenses and put together orders because the person who trained me doesn’t work there anymore and nobody else is really versed in how to do lab stuff. I was asked to come in on Tuesday for a couple hours to help cut things. I also stayed and cleaned out and overflowing shop vac and cleaned out the shavings in the lens cutter, as it really needed to be done and I was, I’m still slowly learning all the things I need to do since I’m the only lab tech, and I only have a couple months of training behind us. Everyone’s super appreciated at work for me, but the other day they asked me to come in and everything and I…
Switching to a competitor
I’ve been offered a job at an extreme competitor. They want to wait to hire me due to legal battles with my current employer. What can I do on my end to make the switch easier?
This is a sign right?
I'm resigned 2 months ago due to a lot of reasons, including too much boring tasks for to few money, and I still have a month left. I'm at the head of the commercial department (and by at the head, I mean I'm the only one working here, resulting in the overload of work) A month ago, the head of the execution department, who could have taken a bit of my tasks, has announced her pregnancy. A week ago, it was the head of the financial department. Today, one of the main secretary. I just saw the life exit my boss's eyes 😀 I almost regret quitting. I would have waited for the busiest day to pass by my boss, rubbing my stomach, complaining about recent morning sickness lol
So I work for a large UK Bank, the last two years I’ve been working towards the next step on promotion. Mainly because I can then get the F out of month to month pay as the rise would clear my debt. I find out they are promoting somebody else to do my job, sideline me with a shit project hoping I leave. Well FU, I spent two years being relationships with people and the data gathering and you are expecting me to help and give you that information. -Deleted everything -Removed all access to anything -Slack off -Ignore all asks for help “not my job” My new project gets canned, new boss doesn’t care, so I’ve spent last month sitting at home watching tv
So our NDP party is proposing corporate tax based on a CEO's greed rate (specifically the CEO to worker pay ratio). Full details here: https://www.ndp.ca/news/jagmeet-singh-table-plan-rein-outrageous-ceo-pay
CVS proxy vote. I’m voting the opposite of all these.
