My son was flagged for dui while driving a state vehicle. He hadn't been drinking and when taken to the station had negative breath and blood tests BUT the cops notified the state (since he was in their vehicle working for them). He reported it to his boss who said that HR for his agency wants him fired immediately. He wants to go to grad school and was planning on doing that while working at this same job but now…. So, do you think it's better for him to just resign rather than getting fired? Especially since he wants to work in the same field after grad school and even possibly for this sales rate agency. Thanks.

Kids are only worth $10,000 in Iowa
Iowa is trying to pass a law allowing children to work in previously prohibited areas considered dangerous (meat packing, mining, heavy equipment, demolition) but now if it's a “training program” its all okay AND “the proposed legislation would also exempt employers from civil liability if the child is sickened, injured, or killed because of negligence by the business. The state could fine the business, but that penalty is capped at $10,000.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/feb/11/us-child-labor-laws-violations Iowa Senator Schultz who introduced the bill. https://preview.redd.it/w5zk5ygp2cna1.png?width=750&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=53363709b0a52902acd4756fdbfe1872c3a4f1d5

Socialism for me but not for thee.
I cannot disclose certain things due to confidentiality, so I need to omit certain specifics. I will be using fake names bc person A and person B just sounds… generic. After completing a task, I left something in my vehicle that is apparently supposed to be temperature controlled. (not hot nor cold, simply just no extreme temps, NOW THAT I KNOW) My coworker Gary, who actually trained me, saw the items in my vehicle and told me I can get in trouble for keeping them outside like I did and he explained about the extreme temps. I responded by stating that I was never informed of this but I understand the reasoning and I thanked him for letting me know. Gary repeated himself and I repeated myself (A habit we apparently share) Gary always gives me good tips and is actually the only person who ever actually helps me with…
