So I’ve been at this job for about a month and a half now, I had just lost my previous one due to unfortunate circumstances so I applied as a temp at this medical facility Everything was fine for about the first two weeks, I had applied for the department of my choice and had been set up to train with a line lead. However, as the third week rolled around I got pulled from my training and had been put in an entirely different department to do something I had no training for. When I came back the following day, I had moved lines with a different lead but no trainer. I was told to just do what I was doing, even though I had told them that I had not finished my training, so I’m response the lead messages the supervisor to figure it out. They end up…
Just like much of the rest of the US, where I am further North, we got a pretty heavy ice storm. Like, everything and I mean everything was covered in ice. The shift usually leaves together at the end of the day, and on the way out, our plant supervisor warned everyone that passed him to be careful of the ice, walk slow, be safe, etc. My coworker walking in front of me made a joke about slipping and getting workers comp (didn't hear exactly what she said) while walking in front of the PS. His response was “I'm not worried about workers comp, I'm worried about people coming into work”. There are many reasons why nobody at our facility likes him. This is just one. Wow.
They straight up do not care. I have my CDL so I can have a job by end of day tomorrow. I’m one of two people that do my job. The other guy covers my days off. So my role is kind of important. Me not showing up will definitely piss them off if nothing else. Is them screwing up like this something I can get them in trouble for? Also, if they try writing me up, what happens if I don’t sign it?

I should preface this by saying Im at one of those shitty jobs where every man counts. So Ive called out sick three days in a row. My boss then calls me on the third day and says “whats up? Why so many call offs? Your recent attendance is starting to become a problem.” I say “Im sick.” He says “yeah ok but still”. I then say “Im sick”. He then says “We’ll talk about it later, get well.” ??? Like what do you mean but still. You expect me to come in when im sickly and feel like absolute dog shit. I don’t understand these people. I cant wait for this conversation. Im going to absolute lose it if they try to take disciplinary action against me.
Ran across an Ask Reddit, Which hobbies that people do, screams “rich people”? Thoughts? What would you do if you were not just thriving, but loaded with unneeded overabundance?
I’ve noticed for the past several months, Investors, Corporations, and landlords have been buying up single-family homes. Most homes that are affordable or in foreclosure tend to be grabbed by investors, landlords, and Corporations. These homes then become rental properties. The price on these properties is way too high, almost equivalent to the apartments in downtown Los Angeles. Not only would you have to put in a deposit and pay rent, but you also can’t even modify the house as you wish, permission from the landlord would be needed. I hate the facts one would have to ask permission for any changes on the property. It is basically like an adult asking their parents’ permission to do what they want with their body. Speaking of rent, the payment on the rent increases every year. You’re lucky if the rent stays the same every year. The cost to pay rent keeps…
