For anyone who lives in California, employees or employers, when do I take the random drug test? Do I take it during company time or do I take it after work? Should I be compensated for my time? And should I be compensated for the gas wasted? Pls help

this even legal? multiple issues
I'm a W2 remote worker on a contact to work on behalf of another company. I signed an 18 month lease, but now they are telling me I will lose my job in April unless my supervisor requests I work more (I'm on month 4). Is that even legal? Also, they apparently don't have a state EIN for my state, yet were withholding taxes. Now they are saying they're out of office until Monday. I'm so stressed rn. Can they just void the contact over nothing? And where did all my state tax withholdings go off they weren't paying the state?
Forgot to show up
I put in my 2 week notice at Wendy’s and today was supposed to be my last day. I forgot to show up to work today. Am I going g to get into any trouble?
It's obvious the system is rigged, and the wealthy/unethical are squeezing us to the point we are miserable work machines that can't enjoy life. That said, there's 99% more of us to the 1% of them — what are three things we could do to shift back the power dynamic so we could own homes, work reasonable hours, and have a much higher quality of life? With the amount of wealth the US generates, those aren't even big asks. My three things: 1) Universal Health Care 2) Get Rid of Corporate Personhood 3) Raise the fedearl minimum wage to at least $30/hr. To me this starts with cleaning house politically at the local and state level to elect people who see representation as a public service, as opposed to career politicians. What are yours? Like I know at r/antiwork it's relatable seeing memes about people's bosses being a dick, but…
I hate some people
No sick days
I lost my decent paying corpo job back in November. Benefits, sick days ect. Gone. I’ve been working a crappy cafe job in the meantime to help get by. Getting sick has turned from something I can just take some time off and deal with to an entire ordeal. Boss calls and yells at me for needing to leave early and not getting my shift covered. I’m one of 2 employees. Every day I’ve had to find coverage and explain in detail why I can’t come in. Why I can’t just go to the dr. ( cuz I don’t have insurance and you pay me very little) all while I should be resting and getting better and missing out on pay. TLDR: I had forgotten how much harder it is on you if you get sick without sick days.
