Cross posting here. Not exactly urgent. In California. So every fast food restaurant shift I get a 10 minute break in my 4.75 hour shift. Normally it's not a problem but I (personally) feel this manager has it out for me to some degree. (Apparently) At 8 precisely she tells me to go on my break. Okay so I stop what I'm doing, go to the back, grab my phone and water cup, fill it up, go into the dining area and sit down. I check my phone and it's 8:03. Okay Yada Yada 8:13 (maybe 14ish admittedly after putting my stuff back) now she's accusing me of taking extra time, “I sent you at exactly 8, you're back at 814”. I respond yeah duh I went to go grab my stuff and checked my phone when I sat down. She says I can tell it to the boss tomorrow.
Extremely low stakes but is there anything I can bring up to counter in the supposed meeting with the boss tomorrow? They can fire me I don't care, it's a side hustle anyways but just curious.
Thanks.
