My work day mentality (often) continues even when I get home, and I feel like I always have something productive I can be doing until it's Friday night or the weekend. Even then I feel the strong need to be productive. I want to learn to do less. Enjoy life. Even during my work day if possible. Any strategies for changing a mindset I've had since grade school?

Working from home is the future
Just noticed the video posted in this sub where Musk says that working from home is “morally wrong.” This reminded me of what Deleuze said decades ago. That we're going to have more freedom by working from home and getting rid of what he called 'control societies.' “It may perhaps be so in 50 years time. Yes that is certainly the future. Workshops and factories are cracking at the edges. Is it worth subcontracting more and working from home? Because you know that control societies will no longer pass through places of confinement [e.g. schools, companies]. We should watch them closely to see the themes which are given birth to, those which develop over the next forty or fifty years for they will explain how great it would be to pursue both school and a profession. It will be very interesting to see what the identity of schools and professions…

I’m being abused every day.
I need help. I've been working for someone for 10 years and I have been verbally abused every day for the past 8. I became disabled and home bound and that's when it began. My boss knows its nearly impossible for me to get another job because of my disability and has used me as their punching bag ever since. My parents have passed and no siblings. I'm alone. They treat me like a slave, dehumanize me, talk about my parents who passed away and more. I haven't gotten a raise in 6 years and fall into further debt so I have enough to buy food at the the end of the month. I cant afford to see a doctor even tho i have lesions spreading down my leg, became deathly allergic to dust and found a tumor/cyst under my arm pit. I wanted to quit yesterday, live on the…

I need to rant about management and HR
WTF do we have human resources?! I reached out to them to help me. I was given a verbal but written warning. There was things on that document that we lies. And somethings that were out of my control. I spent an entire evening on a letter with my position explained. Then proof prove of other points. In the end my manager would not agree to change the document at all. The worse part is we live in two different provinces. She she doesn’t even get to see the real me, only what is fed to her through lies.I am looking for another position within the same company. It has been three months since I started on this program. But it has been the worst job ever.
Here are the reasons: A) people become jerks about paying for high priced items B) there are many aspects to hot tub removal and installation that can become headaches C) helping people choose colors, styles and go through some kind of relationship building in the span of 45 minutes to an hour or two is super anxiety provoking
