I previously worked at a restaurant that had many different practices that violated the health code. The biggest offender is swapping out labels. If a label is out of date (meaning the item is expired) the staff was told to remove the label and replace it with a fresh one. These expired items were served to customers every single day. The restaurant has been inspected, but since everything is “in date” there have never been any issues. There are other different health issues, but by far this is the worst one. This same practice applies to meat products, dairy products and vegetable products. I’ve since moved on to a new company, though I still want to report my previous place of employment. I honest don’t know where to start or if there is even a case against them. If you have any information that could be helpful for me in…

Entire management team fired
So up until yesterday, I was the AGM for a popular trampoline/adventure park. My GM and I ran the building and we did it pretty well- we exceeded goals, we built up our staff team and everyone including us was excited to work every day. We switched from corporate ownership to franchisee ownership in February, and the owner was a delight to work for. He signed us on with solid salary contracts, and last month I was pulled aside for him to tell me that my hard work and commitment had not gone unnoticed, and that he’d met with the board of other investors and they’d agreed to remove my probationary period and fast tracked my pay raise by a month. He then made some comments along the lines of “not a slight to your GM, but when I need something done I know I can come to you, etc.”…
Work for Free or Don’t Get Promoted
Coworker told me I will be passed up for promotion because I do not work off the clock as my opposing candidate. I am currently an assistant manager and there will be an upcoming manager position available soon. He says that I am not going to be chosen because I do not work off the clock vs the other candidate who works 3 hours in the morning off the clock and works 3 hours after we clock out as well. This allows them to perform more than I possibly could and even upper management has said I show that I want to grow but not as much as this candidate for this reason. This is at another location, not mine, but it is widely known.
I retired!!! Yay! Traded my life (30+ years) for nothing. I cannot believe how many people asked me what I was going to do to stay busy. Well fuck, Bob, I dunno, LIVE maybe. I mean, cutting your goddam hair once a month for 12 bucks an hour and a shitty tip is really, really difficult to walk away from…. Pray for me. And, oh yeah, Hail Satan.
Background: Known her for +5 years since I started working. Haven’t really worked with her directly but I would see her everyday because we were desk neighbors. I have talked with her but never take her to a coffee or anything. I’d kiss her on the cheek when I saw her as it’s a custom greeting where I live. It was pretty exciting to me doing that, ngl. But I was pretty distant because there was already an asshole hitting on her before I arrived. After some time, she left the company and moved to another next to mine. I really miss seeing her. Before she left, I went ahead and asked her number, and she gave it to me. I would chat occasionally with her, but conversations were pretty one sided. She basically only responded to me, and has never actually say hi to me or anything randomly. But…
Telecom Co. Policy Issue
A US telecommunication company that I work for recently implemented a rule where, in order to do a Sim swap, you need to contact your manager even on your day off, pto, or if you're on LOA. You do not get paid for the time that you have to contact your manager. This creates issues if you lose your phone or if there are device issues that require a Sim swap. Is there any legal remedies for this?
ok so basically im a cna at a hospital. last friday (may 12th) i called in sick because the previous day i had a vaginal biopsy for a tumor that i had (it turned out to be benign but its still causing me grief) it hurt to walk, sit and was absolutely excruciating to pee so i called in and got a doctors note. it was healing well until today when i noticed the site started bleeding alot and was becoming very painful again to walk and urinate, so i will probably have to call in sick again and seek urgent care. i think it might be infected. problem is, about a month ago i had called in sick for a bad cold i had where i tested negative for flu and covid. my hospital has a policy where if you are not sick with flu or covid, your absence…
