Hey everyone recent grad here. I just graduated with a bs in computer science and have been applying to jobs but it seems like it’s my application against 300+. Not saying I don’t believe in myself because I do, I have a lot of skills on my resume and have multiple internships where I have further developed my skills. I just can’t seem to get an Interview. I hope someone can point me into the right direction.

A minor irritant but it's hapoened a few times. If you work out of the home, the Amazon person leaves it on the doorstep and you get notified. If they can tell that you're in, they gesticulate wildly through the window, knock thevdoor 7 times etc. Wavibg back and giving thumbs up does not deter them. You carefully disconnect your laptop and carry it to the door while still trying to follow an important meeting, wondering what your partner ordered that needs a signature. They say “there's your parcel”, hand it to you and walk off 🤣

After reading a LOT of the latest posts where employers or managers or bosses threaten employees if they ask for days off, or they change their salary rate after they give notice or generally crappy work environments, I decided to use both ChatGPT and Google Bard to see if I could craft response letters or emails to some of the crap I've seen bosses do here. They are of course not legal advise, but they are an excellent resource to get clear and applicable information for specific situations. ​ Let me tell you, they are a spectacular resource! The main thing is to ask the question or write the prompt using natural language. As much as it is helpful to hear the horror stories of modern work, i think it can be equally helpful to learn more about one of the best ways to advocate for yourself as a worker, which is to unionize or join your local union. Unions are responsible for just about every work benefit we have ever acquired – weekend, 40 hour work week, etc. Additionally, union pay is routinely 20-30% more than their non-unionized counterparts.
