I work at a small bakery, and we do cash reconciliation at the end of every day. We got a written notice from the manager that if we are more than $50 short on cash at the end of the week, the difference will be taken from our tips. We were also notified that if the safe ever breaks, $200 will be taken from our tips to buy a new one. As far as I know he's never actually done this, but should I report it somewhere? And if he ever does, what should I do? This is in Florida.

So my boss has scheduled a meeting with me on Monday afternoon and then been away the last two days, so I can’t ask about it. I asked the other girl in the office (hr role) if she knew anything about it, she does but won’t tell me. Am I wrong to be pissed off that I have no idea what this meeting is about? My boss is usually great with communication and we have a pretty good relationship. I want to ask my boss what it’s about so I can stop stressing (or be prepared!). I work in an office of females, all of which can be pretty emotional. I pride myself on being upfront and not crying at the drop of a hat. I think people should be held to certain standards if they want more responsibilities and pay. Because I can handle difficult conversations, whenever my boss gets stressed I get the brunt of it. Normally we get along great but when she’s stressed she doesn’t handle it well. So she says things to me that she wouldn’t say to the others because they would fall apart. It’s just unfair how I’m the punching bag because everybody else can’t have real conversations.

I'm beyond pissed right now. I recently turned 26 and at the end of the month will be off my father's health insurance. I had prepared for this half a year in advance by speaking with my boss to make sure that I'd be able to hop onto my company's insurance plan once enrollment came around. I was told multiple times that he was looking into it and that I should be good to go once the enrollment period opened. I was under the impression that by May I would be able to enroll and go about with my regular doctor's visits. I have several medications that absolutely need a prescription and each visit uninsured is $150 at least. That's without blood work or other tests. Meds can be range from $80-$100 or more uninsured.
