Every corporate workplace has some or the other kind of politics and/or toxicities in them. According to you, what type of toxicity would make you wanna leave your job asap?

No Pay Bump and Cut My Raise: A Rant
I work at an assisted living community. In December my boss promised all employees that we would get a “cost of living” raise in January for 5%. Our floor workers would also be getting a pay bump of $2/hour to bring them up to the industry standard for our area. Well by mid-January I never got my 5% so I asked my boss about it to which he replied “Why would you get a raise in January? You aren't getting your 5% until April. No one is getting it until April.” I asked around and everyone distinctly remembers being told January, but whatever I let it go… My 1st mistake. 1.5 months ago I addressed with my boss that my job title and description don't really encompass what I do. My official title was Admin Assistant but he calls me his Business Office Manager and I do all payables and…
I know it’s easy to say how overworked we are. How tired we are of everything being monopolized. We are obviously ready for change and see plenty of countries strike for their rights. For the first time in my life, I actually visited Europe. They have things figured out. There were literally no homeless people in the Netherlands because the government won’t let them get beyond a threshold. If someone buys a house and doesn’t live in it, there is actually an organized squatters team to reclaim the house if it sits empty for 3 years. Water is clean enough to drink from any bathroom sink. Their public transportation is impeccable. They also prioritize happiness over monetary gain. There are still rich people trying to do shit, but they organize to keep them in check. What can we do? Can we form a squatters team to reclaim unused homes? Can…
For context, I am disabled, and I live with my elderly mom and 1 near do well sibling. When covid happened by dad passed suddenly and the replacement aid fell through, so I had to give the job to the sibling who I do not like at all. They for lack of a better phase are 9 going on 29. They are a man-child who is throwing a lifelong pity party because adulthood “sucks”. Now he greatly resents me b/c he says my disability and who I am because he says I ruined his life. Okay fair enough, I am not easy live with, and I made many mistakes but I have reached out to repair things, but he is not interested which is his choice but what he doesn't have the right to do is refusing to do your job and cost me my health and future b/c you…
I reported a residential care facility for failing to meet staffing for our clients as well as medication violations and client neglect. They’re currently under investigation by DSPD, APS and the Division of Licensing. I have not been back on property since I quit. However, I still occasionally see my old clients because I help with the monthly disability dance. My former coworker asked if she could get a ride to this dance since her car was in the shop. I said okay and she verbally confirmed with her new boss if this was okay. I was there for the phone call so I heard that everything would be fine and we were both reassured that this wouldn’t cause any drama. She was fired today for getting a ride from me, she was told it was due to her lying about the situation. Her new boss and HR are claiming…
For the last few years, I have been working as a subcontractor to a subcontractor that does work for the federal government. Last year sometime, they hired an outside partner whose job it is to make sure all contractors are actually contractors, to mitigate the risk of misclassification. The outside partner takes on all of the liability if there's an audit. Because of this, I haven't gotten paid for work I've done since then–even work I already had a contract for, and already completed–and I've been given a “stop work” order on contracts that are in process. I keep getting emails saying that they need to prove that I actually have an S-corp, that I actually give myself a wage, and to do that, I need to submit an unredacted paystub showing that I pay myself a fair wage based on IRS requirements. I have asked, blankly, if it is…
Our dog had been diagnosed with cancer and since we’re poor and didn’t want her to suffer, the best course of action was putting her down. Because we found out and decided kind of quickly (we had been talking about her various conditions and putting her down for a few weeks), I didn’t really feel comfortable taking off of work. I got updates from my girlfriend and roommate about her status, and I even excused myself to go say goodbye to her over the phone. I was in sales so I was trying to hold it together and be upbeat, but it was difficult. I didn’t really tell anyone. Suddenly, my girlfriend starts blowing up my phone. Dozens of calls and texts while I’m working. I dashed outside to see what happened, and she was hysterical. She told me my 18 year old cat had passed in the time that…
