Overtime is a “reward?”
The labor laws require overtime pay. It isn't a “reward.”
That's it. If you said to my grandma, who raised 8 kids on one income as a widow, that the people born after her would struggle as single child-free adults, she would have thought you meant a Soviet country, or a country in Africa. Not the USA.

So our boss stops by each location once a month right? And my coworker has been absent alot and the last couple of times he has been while the boss has been down. Well it's medical reasons so I really don't want to say why to him as it's not my business to say, I would expect the same respect from my coworkers. My boss pressured me to say something and I kept telling him my reason as to why (note, he has my coworker's number and could easily call and ask what's up). This last time he said he has the authority to ask and I have to answer because now I'm keeping secrets about his store. This doesn't make sense to me because all he has to know from me is that my coworker called in, this is something happening outside the store and again is not my…
