I really hate fast food work but that's all the experience I have, can someone help me make a resume that can help me get different types of jobs?

So I had an interview scheduled for a local store at 1:00pm confirmed on indeed and over email. The place was about a20 minute walk from home. I get there a little early as you do and say that I'm here for an interview.. I'm met with confused looks and the two women in speaking to kind of glance at each other. “Are you sure it wasn't at 2:00?” “I'm fairly confident it was one, I can pull up the emails and check if you like” “It's just that I'm about to go on my lunch is all, could you possibly come back at 2?” Now it's freezing cold outside at this point so I'm not about to sit outside for an hour, and walking home and back would be a waste of time, so naturally I said “sure yeah no problem” and promptly went home and stayed home. I got laid off last Friday. I’ve spent this whole week trying to apply for unemployment. Unfortunately my addresses are wrong. A very simple fix but it tells me I cannot update it myself & to Contact staff. I’ve called they’re general help line over 100 times. It always always gives me a dead tone & hangs up. I got up early today to call at 8 on the DOT (the second they opened) bc the virtual assistant told me they’re lines were busy. & I still got the deadtone/hang up. They’ve never answered my emails. Now I’m going to have to drive an hour to a careerlink to do it in person. This very simple change.

TL;DR. My job sucks, I hate it. I had a mental breakdown and want to quit before I have another job confirmed. This is mostly a rant. I work in a clinic and it sketched me out from day one. I've gotten to the point where I think I want to quit even without another job lined up. Which is a scary thought because the economy where I live is not great. I have noticed safety issues and expressed my concerns numerous times. It seems I was never taken seriously as there have been no changes and once I was even laughed at by the owner of the clinic and others for bringing up a safety concern. Pay has been deducted “by mistake” from several employees pay the last pay cycle that had to be fixed. It took them 10 days to fix it. There is absolutely no structure here.…

I have been working harder to get promoted for the past 6 months. Trying to show initiative, I was told promotion would happen 6 months to 1 year (6 months ago) but talking with my boss yesterday it sounds like it’ll be another 6 months to a year. I have an offer from another company for the same title but an increase in salary by 16%. I feel like my current company is just stringing me along so I’m wondering, should I jump ship?
