I was suppose to sign a perm/full-time contract with a company where I was working as a temp for the past 8 months. My boss liked me, and offered to hire me on a full-time contract basis, where I could get the full benefits of a full-time worker. My girlfriend works in HR. A week later, a new HR Head comes in. Another week later, my boss asks to talk to me, and said that i could not join anymore, as there was a conflict of interest. The new HR head apparently was not okay with this, and even told my girlfriend not to tell me about it. I recently rejected another job offer as I thought that I had the job already. My girlfriend feels very bad for me as well, and I honestly don’t know what to do. Sorry, had to rant somewhere. Feeling down

I don't think I'm the only one , but the text message posts that are regular here, I'm starting to think half of them are fake, just looking karma , just speculating

My co workers are unlikable af. One of them texted me on Saturday morning asking if I snitched on her for eating a lollipop (I didn’t ) by her use of language in the text , she seemed adamant it was me who snitched . This girl is a big drama queen so she’s probably gonna be after me today . She’s also older me than me too lol

I recently started a new job in food service to help with bills. I’m a little concerned with how things are done around the business. I live and work in the USA. California to be exact. I know most of the labor laws and I know for sure, if my paycheck doesn’t reflect how many hours I should legally get paid, that this new job is already stealing wages. But, I have a few questions if anyone knows the answer to this type of situation. So, these past two days I’ve worked over 6 hours and hadn’t received a 30 minute meal period for either day. In California, from what I remember, if during any 5+ hour shift a meal period is not provided that employee should receive an extra hour of wages. I never signed a document stating I would wave my lunch, so I should get that extra…

Outside of the US it’s normal for cashiers to sit, and standing for eight hours a day damages your body.
